Lilith in Lilies is a blog discussing modern takes on morality, spirituality, philosophy, and pop culture. It focuses mainly on current equal rights topics, but occasionally meanders into the history, mythology, and political discourse behind an issue.
Hi, I’m Arielle Hessler, a passionate equal rights advocate, medieval historian, craft enthusiast, wanna-be artist, occasional photographer, and Star Wars fanatic. I started this blog as a way to express, form, and nurture my particular beliefs on feminism and equal rights in the hopes of one day pursuing an advanced degree in Women and Gender Studies. I want to talk about women and men’s portrayal in pop culture such as in comics, movies, magazines, music, television, and any other types of mass media mediums, and how this affects the way we view the people around us. I have strong opinions, and a desire to right all the wrongs in the world. Writing this blog is how I hope to start that journey.
